Today was the first step in the process of writing my book. This process is a fun part of the process because it allows me to write down anything that comes to mind, no matter how off-the-wall it might seem. I came up with some pretty interesting ideas using the tools provided by the writing course by Savannah Gilbo, and some of my own flash fiction stories from the past. I even opened my writing journal to pull a few ideas out of there that I have jotted down.
The process took a little bit, but I came up with an idea, and it came from a prompt app that I use to just write every day. I did a short flash fiction piece using the prompt, and it truly has plenty of potential for a book. I can’t wait to get into the program and use the tools provided to start working on my rough draft.
Today was an exciting first step in my book-writing journey.
